Alaska Design Studio is an architecture practice grounded in the belief that every project exists within a distinct context — shaped by client needs, close partnership with builders, and the qualities of the site. We approach design as an exploration of solutions that are both responsive and enduring.

Our process begins with thorough research to ensure that the design journey opens every possibility. Through careful study and dialogue, we seek to understand the forces at play before shaping form, space, and material.

The practice of architecture at Alaska Design Studio is rooted in making. By combining hands-on experimentation with thoughtful inquiry, we strive to deliver work that is artful, practical, and deeply responsive to the people and places it serves.

top: The latitude of Anchorage is 61° N. If you followed tgat line to the east you would find Reykjavik, Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, and Moscow, which are all major design centers. Anchorage has the same climate that influenced such strong design in our European counterparts but as a jumping off point for the rest of the state has even more potential for strong specific design.
